HY Zeolite Technical Data Sheet
This technical data sheet covers standard specification ranges for HY zeolite — the proton-exchanged H-form of Y zeolite with maximum Brønsted acidity. Supplied as powder with Na₂O controlled below 0.1 wt%.
Typical Specifications
| Parameter | Typical Range | Test Method |
|---|---|---|
| SiO₂/Al₂O₃ (molar) | 5-80+ | XRF |
| BET surface area | 600-800 m²/g | N₂ adsorption, BET method |
| Pore size | ~7.4 Å | 12-MR FAU windows |
| Supercage diameter | ~12 Å | Structural |
| Na₂O content | ≤0.10 wt% | XRF or AAS (critical for acidity) |
| Particle size (D50) | 0.5-5 μm | Laser diffraction |
| XRD crystallinity | ≥85% | vs FAU reference |
| Framework | FAU (H-form) | XRD confirmation |
Available Forms
- HY powder (acidic, ready to use)
- NH₄-Y powder (calcines to HY at 500-550 °C)
- HY extrudates (1.5-3 mm, custom binders)
Certificate of Analysis
Every shipment includes a batch-specific COA with: SiO₂/Al₂O₃ ratio, Na₂O content (critical QC parameter), BET surface area, particle size distribution, and XRD crystallinity. Additional parameters on request: NH₃-TPD acidity, SEM imaging.
To request a sample with COA, specify your target SiO₂/Al₂O₃ ratio, Na₂O limit, and application (FCC matrix, hydrocracking, or acid catalysis).
